Prior to joining the Alliance for Advancing Nonprofit Healthcare, McPherson held executive and senior positions with National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, DC, the American Hospital Association in Chicago, IL, the Blue Cross Association in Chicago, IL, and the Greater Detroit Area Hospital Council. McPherson received his Bachelor of Business and Master of Hospital Administration degrees from the University of Michigan, where he developed a passion for community-based nonprofit health care and local collaboration.
