New Conditions of Participation

By Sharon Harder, President, C3 Advisors, LLC and
Jill Dyer, BSN, RN, HCS-D, HCS-O, Home Health Consultant, J.I.D. Consulting & Coding

Although CMS proposed a delay, new Conditions of Participation (CoPs) are still on the horizon. All home health agencies need to be prepared for major changes to the fundamental requirements for participating in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. New CoPs would take effect January 13, 2018, giving agencies six additional months to prepare. Considering the comprehensive changes ahead, agencies should use this extra time wisely.

Home health consultants Sharon Harder and Jill Dyer shared their expert advice during our recent webinar, Succeeding with the New Conditions of Participation for Home Health, now available to watch on demand. Now they answer your questions in this new frequently asked questions document.
